About Me

The following quote by Rawsi Williams is one of my favorite sayings:

"To do what nobody else will do, a way that nobody else can do, in spite of all we go through; is to be a nurse."

My real name is Charles Edward Rankin the 3rd, but you can call me Chad. For some odd reason my parents decided to pass that name down to me, but... Assuming I have a boy, I will not be naming him the 4th. Also, if I have a girl, I'm definitely not naming her Charles the 4th either. I absolutely love kids, but I can't picture myself owning one of those critters at this point in time. However, I do have a lovely dog named Zoey, and I love her very much.

I recently graduated from the nursing program at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and passed my nursing boards--I am a real registered nurse! I have a mom and a dad that's been married for 36+

years, and I have a fantastic older sister who is 33--I'm the baby [it has its pros and cons]. My sister always tells me that I was adopted from a family of monkeys, which could possibly be true since I don't look like my mom or dad. My sister is one of my closest friends. In my spare time, I love to jump rope. I first became interested in the sport of jump rope in the 5th grade, and I have been a proud member ever since. I have traveled nationally and around the world promoting a sport that has given me many awards,  including a grand national trophy. Jump rope is way more than just a sport; it's a lifestyle, and I have gained so much from it. I have friends and memories that I will greatly cherish for the rest of my life. Other than nursing...
